The ingredients needed to make Amla Ladoo:

  1. Provide 250 gm of Amla (Indian Gooseberries).
  2. Get 200 gm of Sugar.
  3. You need 1/2 cup of mix(Almond and Cashew )powder (coarsely grinded).
  4. Take 2 tsp of Ghee.
  5. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Cardamom powder.
  6. You need 1/2 tsp of Nutmeg powder (optional).

Steps to make Amla Ladoo:

  1. Wash Amla in a strainer. In a pan/utensil, bring 2 cups of water to boil..
  2. When water begins to boil, then only put the Amlas in the boiling water & switch off the flame and cover for 5-6 mins. Now Put Amlas in a strainer and when they become cold, slice them using knife and remove the seeds. Grind coarsely..
  3. Heat a pan, add Amlas along with Sugar. Mix it well while stirring it continuously and cook them until sugar dissolves completely..
  4. Cook further till the mixture becomes thick, add 2 tsp of ghee and cook it for 2-3 mins more. Turn off the flame and let it cool down slightly..
  5. Tansfer it to a bowl and add almond/cashew powder, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder. Combine & mix everything well..
  6. Once mixture cools down, start making ladoos by greasing the hand with little ghee. Amla ladoos are now ready! Store them in an airtight container..

These ladoo can be served anytime of the day. Amla ladoo is good for digestion, highly beneficial for skin, hair problems, strengthens our immunity, nasal bleeding and it is also good for eyes.
